A joyous mind spontaneously flows toward
a state of tranquility where the different qualities
of the mind get together and attain a state of harmony. 

Swami Rama believed in, and taught the universality of the realization of spiritual truths, in the inner chamber of one's own being. He never asked to be followed or worshiped, or for any change in culture, or for or any conversion of religion. Rather, he encouraged self-awareness through practices of yoga meditation and contemplation, with an attitude of self-reliance.

The Himalayan Tradition, of which Swami Rama is a part, is a 5,000-year-old journey of exploration and teaching. This unbroken lineage of teachers includes Swami Rama’s master, the famous Mahavatar Baba, known simply as Bengali Baba or Babaji of the Himalayas.

We are not to bother ourselves about the beauty or ugliness of the person, but to concentrate solely on God underlying that form.

Trust in the Guru fully and wholeheartedly. Leave off all doubts.

 

 Guru is God. Guru is everything.
He is your mother, father, well-wisher, relative and true friend. Seeing all as Guru is the highest state and he who feels Him in every creature verily becomes my self.
